The Dining Services Academic Year Salary applicant pool provides food service to customers of the university dining centers with a high level of customer satisfaction. Ensures a clean, safe and sanitary environment for employees and customers. Shifts vary by position and dining center and may include early morning, day, evening, night, and weekend hours; and may include some overtime and call-in work. Work area assignment may be changed as necessary.

Assistant Director: Reporting to the Director of Recruitment and Operations, this position serves as one of a team of assistant directors who plan, implement, and administer programs and initiatives designed to target, recruit, and enroll students in undergraduate degree programs.

Administrative Assistant: Serve as administrative assistant for the Dean’s Office in the Pamplin College of Business. Provide support to the Dean, and the Executive Assistant to the Dean, and occasional support to the Chief of Staff. Front office coverage to include greeting visitors, answering phones, reserving conference rooms, and distributing mail. Administrative support to include scheduling meetings, maintaining detailed calendaring entries, scanning and filing, the creation of meeting materials and presentations, and managing orders through HokieMart and via other resources. This includes the development of PowerPoint presentations and Excel charts, composing and editing various documents, and creating mail merges. Individual will be responsible for reviewing, generating and analyzing mass data reports to highlight and summarize key information from various databases. Assist with event planning as needed. Manage office equipment maintenance and maintain office supply inventory. Handle data entry and transcription.
