Warehouse Worker: The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority is currently seeking a Warehouse Worker to pick and/or pack merchandise for shipment to over 365 stores located throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.

With instruction from Warehouse Supervisors this position is responsible for picking and packing duties to include depalletization, pick module, floor pick, shelf pick, palletizing, and loading trucks.

Selected candidate MUST have general knowledge of all aspects of warehouse operations; inventory procedures and controls; and of ABC, and Wholesale/Retail Operations policies and procedures. Should have the ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack or order picker as well as the ability to repetitively lift cases weighing 50 pounds, work in a fast paced automated warehouse environment, and work independently. Must adhere to all safety guidelines issued by Warehouse Management.

ABC Store Manager A: This incumbent will be part of ABC’s Retail Management Team responsible for managing all store operations to include inventory control, merchandising, accounting for all store funds safety and compliance and communicating staff about store operations and the overall agency mission and direction. They will be responsible for managing their staffing needs and ensure compliance with agency policies as well as, state/legal policies and procedures.

This Store Manager will provide supervision and development opportunities for their staff including training employees, assigning work responsibilities, performance evaluations and employee problem solving issues. They will be responsible for staff training on store products, proper customer service skills and sales techniques, and establishing procedures that comply with store policies and appropriate laws. The Manager will be responsible for effectively managing and training staff in ID verification practices due to the diversity of customers the store serves daily.

Senior Sales Associate: The Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority seeks a full-time Senior Sales Associate to perform daily, operational retail functions involving the sale of alcohol and related merchandise to support the agency’s mission. Senior Sales Associates are responsible for certifying the highest level of customer relations, ensuring contact with internal and external customers reflects excellence in customer service; supporting work units; and merchandising. Specific duties include: accounting for cash shortages, determining the legality of sales, developing product knowledge to assist customers, participating with inventory using hand held scanners, participating with all facets of the receiving process, maintaining shelf stock and displays, and participating in unloading of truck shipments. Additional duties include directing store operations and accountability for monitoring the activities of all part-time employees in the absence of management, assisting management in preparation of reports and responding to information requests and after hour emergencies. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated employee who had shown an ability to succeed in all areas of store operations including customer service, cash handling, inventory management, licensee order fulfilling, order receiving, inventory, etc.
