Customer Service Representative & Technician: The University of Virginia Cavalier Computers department is looking for a motivated individual to provide exceptional customer service in our Cavalier Computers Repair Center. This position will ensure that all customer requests are communicated to the Repair Technicians, and deliver merchandise to University customers as necessary. This position will also assist in some troubleshooting, diagnoses, repair help of customer computers, provide software support, and assisting customers on the following operating systems: Mac OS, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, and Windows XP.

Ticket Sales Associate: The Ticket Sales Associate position (part-time hourly wage/20-25 hours per week) exists to sell season tickets, group tickets, mini plans, and single game tickets to ticketed University of Virginia athletic events. Additionally, the Ticket Sales Associate must provide exemplary customer service and assist with Ticket Office administrative duties.

We’re looking for motivated candidates with a passion for sales to maximize attendance and revenue for the University of Virginia through focused outbound sales efforts. The Ticket Sales Associate will interact with a diverse group of constituents, which include donors, season ticket holders, alumni, University staff, students, student-athletes, members of the Charlottesville community, and fans from all over the country.

Customer Service Representative: The Student Financial Services Office is seeking a Customer Service Representative. Student Financial Services (SFS) has the privilege of serving UVA students and their families (both current and prospective) by helping them navigate the complex world of financial aid and paying for college. SFS provides ongoing, high-touch outreach in person, online, and via their contact center.

SFS Customer Service Representatives respond to a high volume of customer service inquiries about the company’s services, determine the best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies. Additionally, they coordinate problem resolution with appropriate departments/personnel and follow up, either verbally or in writing, to ensure customer satisfaction.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Experience in customer service including establishing rapport, discussing sensitive and personal information, listening and resolving customer concerns/questions is required. Communication over the phone, in person, and written is essential as is customer service experience in a one-on-one counseling role. Experience working with and communicating effectively with students and parents in a higher education environment is preferable.
