The USC School Mental Health Team (SMHT) is recruiting a research associate for a
new initiative involving the delivery of evidence-based mental health services in
economically disadvantaged schools in eastern SC. The manager will work closely with 9 elementary schools, including mental health clinicians hired by the SC Department of Mental Health, school nurses, and teachers and other school staff to coordinate
implementation of multi-tiered promotion/prevention (Tier 1), early intervention (Tier 2), and treatment (Tier 3) services within these schools and interface with SMHT staff related to ongoing quality assessment/improvement and evaluation of programs and services offered within these schools. The manager will also assist in coordinating data collection, be involved in data analysis, assist in writing reports and assist in presenting on the project to school and community stakeholders and policy and funding leaders.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Ability to work independently to oversee program implementation, coordinate project meetings, prepare manuscripts and professional presentations.
