Sales Associate

The Sales Associate represents Things Remembered to our customer. This position has primary responsibility for customer satisfaction, generating sales, engraving, housekeeping, merchandising, POS operations and loss prevention, in adherence with all company/store standards.

Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Demonstrates success in selling. Uses selling techniques such as add-on sales and describing engraving information to customers to enhance salesmanship and reach store and individual sales goals. This requires constant standing and walking to work with customers and show them merchandise.
  • Is proficient in the basic skills of store operations:  engraving; performance of all register transactions; and equipment maintenance. This requires constant standing at the register and equipment as well as occasional squatting and kneeling.
  • Participate in store activities of stocking, processing incoming and outgoing merchandise shipments. This requires constant standing and walking, occasional squatting and kneeling, frequently lifting & carrying up to 10 lbs and occasionally 11-30 lbs, as well as frequently climbing a 3-foot ladder working with arms overhead and occasionally using a 3-10-foot ladder to work with arms overhead.

Seasonal Recruiter

Seasonal Human Resources Support for hiring Teammates for the Fall 2019 Holiday Season.  This is a high-volume recruiting position that will assist in hiring and management of over 500 Seasonal Teammates during the months of October, November, and December.

Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  1. Contact potential Seasonal Teammates by telephone and E-mail
  2. Schedule interviews for potential Seasonal Teammates, and track interview process.
  3. Update applicant records and move applicants through Applicant Tracking System
  4. Interview potential Seasonal Teammates
  5. Conduct onboarding, including drug testing, new hire paperwork, and organizing orientation sessions.
  6. Create and print Identification Cards for Seasonal Teammates
  7. Update Door Access system to add and delete Seasonal Teammates
  8. Maintain and update Teammate files to reflect seasonal rehiring activity
  9. Other related work, as required

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Human Resources department
  • High School Diploma or GED, College degree preferred
  • Intermediate level with Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Presentation software
  • Weekend and evening work required, as well as participation in several Job Fairs, which are held on Saturday and Sunday

Sales Lead

The Sales Lead (SL) represents Things Remembered to our customer. The SL is responsible for creating the best first and lasting experience for every internal and external customer to ensure long-term loyal customers. He/she consistently works towards the expectation at delighting all of our customers. 

 

The Sales Lead is a non-supervisory role that has primary responsibility for customer satisfaction, generating sales, engraving, housekeeping, merchandising, POS operations and loss prevention, in adherence with all company and store standards.

  • Principle Duties and Responsibilities

    Strategic Customer Service to Enhance Sales

    1. Use selling techniques to enhance sales, such as: selling add-on sales and showcasing engraving information to customers to achieve store and individual sales goals.
    2. Ensure a high-quality customer service experience; making product and personalization recommendations consistent with the customer’s expectations.
    3. Articulate product knowledge to customers; be the gift expert.
    4. Responsible to be a role model for the sales teammates and demonstrate the standard for customer experience

     

    Store Operations

    1. Proficient in basic skills of store operations to include: engraving, completion of all register transactions, and equipment maintenance.
    2. Participate in store activities such as stocking, inventory, processing incoming and outgoing merchandise shipments, housekeeping, and display sets.
    3. Responsible for LP measures of security and safety at all times while working.
    4. Work single coverage; maintain awareness to drive business and deliver results.
    5. Responsible to open and/or close the store on their shift, including locking and unlocking the store.
    6. Accountable to open registers, to balance cash daily, create nightly bank deposits

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience
    1. High School diploma or GED
    2. Minimum of 1+ years of retail experience preferred in a mall-based environment
    3. Experience of 6+ months with Things Remembered (can be substituted for previous Key Holder and/or Supervisory experience)

Customer Service Representative

Things Remembered Fulfillment Center in North Jackson, Ohio is seeking Seasonal Inbound Call Center Reps. The Teammates in this role is responsible for processing orders, processing returns, up-selling/cross-selling, responding to inquiries and building relationships with customers who shop via the internet or catalog.

Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Utilizes order entry software to process customer orders that are received by phone, fax, mail or via e-mail.
  • Maintains a high degree of accuracy when processing orders, reporting corrections, submitting order change requests, etc. Completes all paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding order status, order changes, returns, billing, shipping charges, etc. in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Maintains a high degree of product knowledge and maximizes each sales opportunity.
  • Builds relationships with customers by following up post sale to ensure customer satisfaction and places outbound calls to promote special sales events.
  • Assists customers in resolving technical issues/questions that may be encountered when shopping on-line.
