Dishwasher

Our Dish Machine Operators’ number one goal is to provide dishes that our clean, dry and sanitized to all of our dining guests. It is one of the most important positions we have in our organization. Our dishwashers help get our restaurants up and running in the morning and closed down in the evening. They really are the core to our business and no other team member’s job has a wider range of impact than the DMO’s job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sort & rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils
  • Verify cleanliness of dishes after washing.
  • Sort & stack clean dishes.
  • Carry clean dishes to proper storage areas.
  • Rewash soiled dishes if necessary
  • Take trash out to dumpster area. Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster
  • Clean floor in FOH and BOH including mat maintenance
  • Wash larger items properly using required 3 compartment sink setup
  • General restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed
  • Maintain the dish machine properly including regular water changes and dish machine cleaning
  • Regulate dish machine chemicals
  • Assigned food prep duties
  • Complete required sidework duties & end of shift management checkouts
  • Clean required areas assigned by management
  • Partner with other areas providing support when needed
  • Maintain a clean and neat work station
  • Store food items complying with company labeling and storage requirements

Cashier:

The register position is responsible for making sure every guest feels welcomed, respected and valued as they begin their dining experience. The register position is the one person in a guest’s journey that can have an impact on every single guest that comes through the door. So it is important that each transaction is handled efficiently and accurately while maintaining a positive demeanor.

Our register attendant’s are a critical business partner for our organization as they are the individual that collects the payment from our guests. Failing to accurately collect payment may result in a hardship for our organization and could prevent us from continuing to deliver our Discover Fresh brand. An eligible applicant must be confident in cash handling procedures and comply with the company’s cash handling policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle every transaction complying with company policy
  • Maintain all of the required Point of Sale documents required by policy
  • Handle any guest voids accurately and efficiently
  • Participate in cashier checks outs with manager
  • Accurately ring up offers provided by guests
  • Assess the needs of the guests
  • Provide confident guest interactions
  • Address guest issues or concerns promptly
  • Maintain all required bar areas
  • Serve Beer or Wine if served at location
  • Upsell food and beverages items
  • Share our beloved farmer partner stories with our guests
  • Complete required sidework duties & end of shift management checkouts
  • Clean required areas assigned by management
  • Promote company’s online e-club program with guests
  • Partner with other areas providing support when needed

The Dining Room or Floor Attendant

The Dining Room or Floor Attendants position is to add a special touch that is generally unexpected by guests who are used to other self selection restaurants. We expect our Dining Room employees to make every guest feel like they are a member of our family. Our Dining Room Attendants go above and beyond tending to our guests needs so when they are finished they honestly feel that the service they received was completely unexpected.

Everybody loves Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes but not everyone is familiar with what we do and who we truly are. We believe once our guests know how carefully we’ve chosen our farms to raise local produce and how quickly it gets to our kitchen (within hours of harvest), that they will see the value in what we provide.

The Dining Room or Floor Attendants should think of themselves as a Hospitality & Brand Ambassador. Our dining room employees host our guests through their entire journey. Hot Bar Attendant

The Hot Bar Attendants position is to provide scratch-made bakery items, pastas and soups to all of our wonderful guests. This area is a place where they can indulge in wholesome AND delicious menu items. We expect our Hot Bar Attendants to prepare and present our bar items in a manner that leaves every guest wanting more.

A Hot Bar attendant’s first responsibility is to be available to our guests. Making certain all products are readily available and attractively displayed on the bar. Our Hot Bar attendants are a critical factor in the Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes guest experience, their jobs are to ensure every guest has wonderful experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide all of our bakery and soup bar items complying with our company ACT standards which stands for Appearance, Consistency, Taste/Texture.
  • Be knowledgeable about menu items including ingredients and possible allergens
  • Maintain proper temperatures on all products complying with company requirements as well as health department code.
  • Prep required menu items
  • Rotate product as required by standard
  • Partner with management team on food quality & consistency
