Twin Cities Management/Sales Training Program: The Management/Sales Training Program includes self-study modules, structured on-the-job training, classroom instruction at our regional training facilities, as well as ongoing education throughout your career. Your training will encompass all aspects of store management, including paint and associated products, customer service, professional sales and marketing, credit and accounts receivable management, human resources management, profit and loss and merchandising management. After you complete the training program, you’ll be able to progress into paint store management positions. Management / Sales Trainee:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. You may apply for this position if you have your bachelors degree, or will obtain one within the next 12 months.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to operate material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.).
  • Must  be able to tint paint, therefore, must be able to distinguish the difference between colors.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone.
  • Must be 18 years of age.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior work experience in sales or customer service.
  • Willingness to relocate for promotional opportunities.
  • Bilingual ability is an added plus.

Wholesale Product Specialist: This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams commercial paint store, servicing wholesale customers. It will assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services. This involves ensuring that sales transactions are completed accurately, maintaining accurate work order files and formulas, pulling appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse, and tinting and mixing them to customer specifications. This position will also stock shelves and set up displays, clean store equipment, and load and unload trucks. It may also assist in making deliveries if necessary.

Delivery Driver: This position delivers products to customers from Sherwin-Williams paint stores. It is responsible for ensuring that deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner. This involves loading customer orders properly on the truck, ensuring that appropriate forms are completed, following designated routes and time schedules from a mobile device, and delivering merchandise to the customer in a safe and timely manner. Delivery Drivers may also be called upon to perform other tasks as needed, including warehouse duties, tinting and mixing customer orders and waiting on customers in our paint stores.

Customer Service Branch Associate: The Service Associate I is responsible for assisting in the operations of the Automotive Branch Facility.  The core function of this job includes assisting with inside customer service.  The Service Associate will make certain the branch provides the highest level of Trademark Customer Service.

Assistant Sales Trainee Manager: The Trainee Assistant Manager Program includes self-study modules, structured on-the-job training, classroom instruction at our regional training facilities, as well as ongoing education throughout your career.  Your training will encompass all aspects of store management, including paint and associated products, customer service, professional sales and marketing, credit and accounts receivable management, human resources management, profit and loss and merchandising management. After you complete the trainee program, you’ll be able to progress into paint store management positions.  Our Assistant Store Managers and Store Managers oversee a million-dollar business, providing leadership and insight into the development and strategy of their store.
