The company operates 30 breweries under the name Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery. These breweries are located in several states, with seven restaurants in Colorado, five in Illinois, three in California, two in Minnesota, and one restaurant each in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin. The store was renamed Rock Bottom after someone pointed out that they were “building at the bottom of the rock,” which was Prudential’s slogan at the time. In 2009, the La Jolla location in San Diego won a medal at the Great American Beer Festival, and in 2012 they medaled at the World Beer Cup. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve multiple tables of Guests simultaneously as determined by management

  • Refill drinks and deliver food as soon as necessary or available via tray service.
  • Perform money transactions, return accurate change, and close checks in Point-of-Sale system.
  • Provide great Guest experience through menu presentation and suggestive selling.
  • Check Guests’ identification and serve alcoholic drinks adhering to state and local regulations.
  • Work in team environment and communicate with Team Members and Guests.
  • Perform opening and closing side duties as assigned (e.g., ice buckets, roll silverware, set up soda machines, etc.)
  • Other functions assigned by management (e.g., prep desserts and salads, restock, check restrooms, empty bus tubs, refill ice, assist other FOH & BOH Team Members, etc.).

Host: Welcome and accommodate the needs of guests by seating them eat them at tables or in waiting area, and help ensure quality of facilities and service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet Guests and seat them at tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so servers receive an appropriate number of tables.
  • Record “to-go” orders, enter them in the Point-of-Sale system and perform correct money transactions including activating and selling gift cards.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls and effectively use paging system.
  • Be proactive in scheduling and preparing for large parties.
  • Run a wait list, receive and record guest dining reservations via paper and pen or applicable electronic applications.
  • Maintain contact with kitchen team members, management, serving team members, and guests to ensure that dining details are handled properly and that guests’ concerns are addressed.
  • Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
  • Act as a resource for Guests regarding the promotions, menu, hours of operation, etc.
  • Other functions assigned by management (e.g., sweep, clean doors and windows, restock, check restrooms, bus tables, refill ice or wash glassware).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Bartender: To mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to Guests of bar and service Team Members following standard recipes and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check Guests’ identification and serve alcoholic drinks adhering to state and local regulations.
  • Mix ingredients to prepare drinks, serve draft beer, bottled beer, wine and liquor according to procedure/ recipe and restaurant specifications.
  • Perform correct money transactions and make correct change utilizing Point-of-Sale system.
  • Communicate with Guests and team members to promote specials and suggestions.
  • Reconcile daily bar inventories with bar cash-received totals.
  • Maintain neat, clean and organized bar area according to restaurant specifications; lift and empty bus tubs, prep and stock bar (e.g., juices, fruit, etc.), clean glassware, morning and after hours cleaning, mopping, and removal of bar floor mats.
  • Other side duties assigned by management (e.g., take out linen, restock, check restrooms, refill ice, assist other FOH and BOH Team Members, etc.)
