Sr. Business Analyst

As an experienced Technical Business Analyst you are a strong analysis professional who is passionate about the practice of business analysis and technology. You approach your customers with an attitude of service and a mindset focused on quality. You communicate easily and smoothly with everyone including stakeholders and coworkers of different disciplines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as lead in delivery and oversight, define solutions, plan information management projects, and provide extensive technical and strategic guidance to project team members
Skilled in technology, business, teamwork, and client service
Ability to flex technical skills in waterfall and/or agile software development
Motivated, self-directing, able to function individually or as part of a coordinated project team
Have a real passion for the profession of Business Analysis
Be seen as a strategic partner for the business and not as an order-taker
Bridge the gap between business and technology domains

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Number of direct reports: 4 + contractors

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience as a BA with expertise working in a consultative manner
Ability to develop quality technical and functional requirements.
User stories, story maps, and the ability to perform story decomposition.
Process flows, data flows and context diagrams.
Current state/future state gap analysis, risk analysis, stakeholder analysis
Solution validations, deconstruction work, and more.
The ability to create & explain your analysis approach to any given problem, and then to walk your stakeholders through it.
The ability to organize, structure and execute your BA work with minimal supervision.
The confidence to command a room and stand on your own with internal business partners and external clients.
The ability to supervise, coach and develop other BA’s.
Understanding of programming techniques and understanding of application architecture, such as 3 or N-tier, and SOA.
Having the mindset that BA’s are not order takers, but are instead strong partners and advocates to both the business and the technology groups.
CBAP certification.
