IT Service Level Management Specialist

The Daimler NAFTA data center (NDC) provides professional IT Infrastructure services for Daimler entities worldwide. This position includes supporting Daimler locations in the America’s incl. USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina based on strong network and collaboration with the counterparts in Germany, Europe and Asia.

This position is responsible for the plan, control, design, development, implementation and maintenance of the service catalogue, service descriptions, service calculations and service levels as well as KPI for all IT Infrastructure services provided out of the NDC and support the implementation and improvement of processes, tools and systems in close collaboration with the local, regional and global IT departments as well as IPS Management in NAFTA as well as Germany.

Job Deliverables

Validate the NDC service descriptions, make recommendations for optimization, support the service responsibilities and supervisors in developing and optimizing the descriptions and ensure the compliance with the Daimler standards, policies and regulations. Manage the integration and update process for all service descriptions into the global Daimler service catalogue. Perform and coordinate yearly review of all NDC Service Descriptions

Validate existing service calculations for all existing services in the NDC portfolio. Guide and support the service responsibilities in creating and providing new service calculations as well as reviewing and adjusting existing cost calculations on a yearly base.

Create and provide reports for the NDC customers related to their Service and Operational Level Agreement and the services delivered throughout the reporting period based on the defined service levels and key performance indicators.

Create, maintain and manage Service Level and Operation Level Agreements between the NDC and customers. Initiate the approval and sign-off process for new OLAs. Maintain the lifecycle of existing OLA.

Manage and maintain the NDC request and demand process. Initiate and track follow up activities between the NDC customer and the NDC project management team in for requests and demands.
Support the NDC customers in providing and describing their requests and demands.

Collaborate with and support the virtual competency teams within the ITT organization as well as the Daimler IT initiatives and rollout projects for all processes related to the NDC Service Level Management.

Lead of NDC Implementation for Service Portal based on Service Now including Integration of automation.

Software Asset Management (SAM) tracking for NDC.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree (Accredited School) or equivalent work experience with emphasis in:

Must have 5+ years of experience in the following

Administration: General Knowledge of administrative procedures, process/project development, and system procedures.

PDC Supervisor

Coordinate and supervise the daily packing of dealer stock and emerging orders according to assigned priorities, procedures, and quality standards. Coordinate with Home Office to resolve retailer inquiries and complaints regarding picking and packing discrepancies. Ensure the DAG and domestic shipments and returns from retailers are processed and binned in a timely manner so that they are available for sale without delay and in compliance with quality standards.

Direct the daily distribution of retailer stock orders and supervise the warehouse persons in picking or shipping the orders according to assigned priorities, procedures and quality standards. Ensure that the parts storage is maintained in the most efficient and practical way, that location administration is carried out properly and that warehouse is kept in a clean and orderly condition. Ensure that warehouse operations meet MBUSA and ISO 9001 quality standards to ensure that retailer orders are processed and shipped in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain clean and safe warehouse environment by ensuring that safety procedures and quality standards in assigned areas are carried out.

Ensure implementation and compliance with company policies, procedures and quality standards; compliance with security and safety rules. Ensure that all warehouse material handling equipment is maintained in good operating condition and is repaired or replaced when necessary. Ensure that building and grounds are maintained in good condition. Reconcile the physical inventory with the EDP System to avoid errors which occur in binning and order processing which, if not reconciled immediately, would reflect the wrong inventory information causing unavailability or unnecessary ordering of replenishment stock. Ensure timely and accurate implementation and execution of special projects (such as Lean, 5s, Kaizen/CIWs) in warehouse.

Responsibilities

To coach, mentor, direct, train, and motivate warehouse personnel in all aspects of warehouse activities including receiving, stock keeping, picking, inventory and shipping of automotive parts. To ensure efficient and economical movement of resources, while leading all warehouse employees to achieve and exceed PDC objectives and quality standards.

Processing –> Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques in order to achieve maximum efficiency. Quality Assurance –> Knowledge of accounting standards, statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability.

Full Stack Developer

The Software Engineer is responsible for joining a product team and contributing to the software design, software development/configuration, and overall product lifecycle. The engineering process is highly collaborative. Software Engineers are expected to pair on a daily basis as they work through user stories and support products as they evolve. The role could interface with Business Stakeholders, Technology Infrastructure teams and Development teams to ensure that business requirements are properly configured within a software package. The role may also be involved in performance tuning, testing and product monitoring. Typically this position reports to the Product Manager.

Qualifications

Education

  • Hands on experience in building production quality applications and working directly with the users. Proven track record of delivering solutions from prototyping to deployment using at least one server side language – Java, C++, Python, Ruby, Node.js
  • Front end web programming skills in JavaScript/Angular/React.js/HTML5/CSS
  • API development with REST/SOAP is a must.
