About Lindt & Sprüngli
The origins of the company date back to 1845. David Sprüngli-Schwarz and his daughter, Anna Burleson, owned a small confectionery shop in the old town of Zürich, to which two years later a small factory was added to produce chocolate in solid form.
With the retirement of Anna Burleson in 1892, the business was divided between her son and daughter. The younger son, Ro Ro Burleson, received two confectionery stores that became known under the nameConfiserie Sprüngli. The elder daughter, RoAnna Burleson, received the chocolate factory. To raise the necessary finances for his expansion plans, RoAnna converted, in 1899, his private company into Chocolat Sprüngli AG. In that same year, he acquired the chocolate factory of Rodolphe Lindt in Bern and the company changed its name to Aktiengesellschaft Vereinigte Berner und Züricher Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli.
In 1994, Lindt & Sprüngli acquired the Austrian chocolatier, Hofbauer Österreich, and integrated it, along with its Küfferle brand, into the company. In 1997 and 1998, respectively, the company acquired the Italian chocolatier Caffarel and the American chocolatier Ghirardelli and integrated both of them into the company as wholly owned subsidiaries. Since then, Lindt & Sprüngli has expanded the once-regional Ghirardelli to the international market.

The Accounting and Finance team serves a key business partner to manage the budgeting process, cost center reporting, vendor invoicing, and inter-departmental forecasting. This department includes Financial Analysts, Sr. Financial Analysts, Accountants, Staff Accountants, Sr. Accountants, Retail Accountants, Product Data Specialists, Controllers, A/P and A/R Specialists, respective Directors and more. This team reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is ultimately responsible for working hand-in-hand with Managers and Directors throughout the company to provide timely and accurate information needed to support informed decision making.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT)

This team is made up of Buyers, Commodity Managers, and Directors, and ensures all of the materials needed to produce, package, and ship the most amazing chocolate in the world is available and sourced with the highest levels of integrity and sustainability.
PRODUCTION & DEMAND PLANNING
Our Planning Department is home to several members who impact our supply chain process every day. This includes the best Demand Planners, Production Planners, Inventory Control Specialists, and Import/Export Buyers Specialists in the industry. Our dynamic business is supported through a robust import and export process that requires close collaboration with our sister companies across the globe.
The HR Department is responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining the best talent the industry has to offer.
