WHAT DOES A Human Resource Specialist DO?
You will serve as a consultant and provide guidance over various personnel/payroll issues. You will be responsible for accomplishing a variety of analytical studies and/or participate in projects relating to mission/oriented programs for the Internal Revenue Service. In addition, you will provide advice, guidance and information on personnel/payroll systems and provide feedback in the evaluation of the efficiency and effectiveness of the assigned programs and systems.
Human Resources (HR) Assistant: As a Human Resources (HR) Assistant you will perform a variety of clerical and adminstrative duties in support of specific areas relative to personnel management and human resources. Depending on the area for which you are assigned, your responsibilities may include personnel and payroll accounting and reporting functions in a Payroll Center, supporting others in designing, developing, executing, managing, and administering training programs, employee benefits, and/or personnel/payroll processing. In addition, if applying for a Lead position, you will also serve as a work leader to assist the manager in both work related and administrative areas by resolving problems and irregularities, making decisions on most technical and operational matters.
Tax Analyst: A Tax analyst serves as an analyst which plans, coordinates, and conducts analytical studies, and projects. In this role, you will be responsible for performing technical and analytical staff work. You will be required to oversee programs which include strategic compliance program planning, business systems planning, customer account services, taxpayer education and communications, and administrative support.
