Director of Brand Marketing

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Developing comprehensive marketing strategies and advertising campaigns
  • Building promotional strategies and offers with Revenue Management and Marketing Planning teams to drive bookings
  • Driving impactful initiatives and campaigns through coordinating advertising and media agencies, internal paid media teams, regional marketing teams, and digital brand marketing teams
  • Aligning with Communications team to drive an effective communications strategy (PR, Owner, and Associates campaigns)
  • Developing innovative brand development initiatives and pilots from conception to implementation
  • Effective storytelling and content creation in social media channels to drive brand engagement
  • Partnering with the brand operations leaders in developing brand defining elements, brand standards and coordinating quality assurance/property compliance
  • Working with digital-commerce teams to ensure the brand is properly presented across all of our digital channels and distribution channels
  • Alignment with Wyndham Rewards to properly tie in to our umbrella campaigns and to fully leverage the
  • Wyndham Rewards program and direct marketing channels
  • Partnering with our Financial, Business and Analysis team to identify trends and opportunities, brand tracking and research, and performance reporting
  • Managing creative agencies/creative services to develop brand creative elements and standards that can be implemented across all channels and regions
  • Managing media buys in North America (United States & Canada)
  • Identifying and negotiating brand partnerships
  • Managing the North American marketing funds
  • Coordinating with international marketing teams to ensure reasonable consistency and look and feel for each brand
  • Presenting at internal and external company meetings and addressing owner issues and gaining owners feedback


Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of brand marketing and brand leadership experience; travel/hotel experience preferred
  • 7+ years of advertising experience (agency or client side) with large agency management experience
  • BA in marketing or MBA
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented, excellent organization and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of online and social media channels
  • Experience and track record building media and marketing plans
  • Proven track record of managing budgets, maximizing dollars spent and demonstrating marketing ROI
  • Ability to travel domestically 20% – 30%
