When a customer chooses to buy the energy their home or business uses through an ESCO, however, Con Edison still continues to deliver the electricity and gas, and responds if there is a service emergency.
Con Edison is a subsidiary of Consolidated Edison, Inc. [NYSE: ED], one of the nation’s largest investor-owned energy companies, with approximately $12 billion in annual revenues and $40 billion in assets.
