1. Sales/Service

b. Responsible for developing an in-depth knowledge of consumer products and services; referring loans and deposit products to consumer and small business customers and prospects.
c. Uncover customer needs through the use of probing techniques and other sales tools.
d. Conduct outbound calls by using referral sources, walk-in sources, telephone or in-person calls.
e. Actively participate in sales meetings and offer creative ideas.
f. Provide transactional customer service, including but not limited to the following: accept and process deposits, withdrawals and payments and handle other over the counter and mail transactions.

Credit Procedures Specialist Senior: The Credit Procedures Specialist Senior is responsible for researching, developing and writing Credit business procedures and related internal communications, as well as oversight of business process and procedure changes and enhancements. This individual is a subject matter expert who provides thought leadership about Credit business processes and procedures and works closely with key Credit personnel to resolve process and/or procedural gaps and inconsistencies. The Credit Procedures Specialist Senior also provides SME input to technology projects and with other departments.

Position Competencies
Successful incumbents possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to translate meeting discussion notes into comprehensive procedures/internal communications and convey complex information to a broad audience; have the ability to identify and solve problems, effectively work with staff at all levels, and function in a team environment; have the ability to work independently, be self-motivated, detail oriented, organized and adapt well to a fast-paced changing environment and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

Operations Management
* Identify and facilitate the need for new Credit business procedures and/or the enhancement or modification of the existing Credit business procedures that relate to the origination and continued maintenance of commercial credit loans and relationships.
* Craft the language for new Credit business procedures as well as for enhancements and modifications, ensuring effectiveness, consistency and adherence to established department standards and Credit Policies.
* Work closely with several Comerica departments on new Credit business procedure development and enhancements/modifications to existing Credit business procedures.
* Facilitate the approval process for procedures.
* Review new or modified Credit business procedures prior to vetting and publication.
* Research/write or review internal communications regarding newly established or modified Credit business procedures.
* Develop and maintain various Credit Application documents (i.e. user guides, job aids, etc.).
