Under the direction of the Branch Operations Manager, this role is responsible for servicing the existing client base and expanding the business growth potential of the IA teams and the branch through increasing the potential client base. This role is also responsible for the coordination of all client events for existing and potential clients.
Business Delivery and Operational Effectiveness
- Manage all incoming calls in a timely, professional and courteous manner
- Organization of client appreciation events, client seminars and conference calls
- Develop and implement new client acquisition campaigns
- Production and generation of quarterly newsletter
- Telemarketing and making cold calls to potential clients
- Website development and maintenance
- Development and production of new marketing literature
- Prepare and vetting prospecting lists
- May provide administrative support to branch with effective communication skills and a basic understanding of the investment/security industry
- Ensure efficient service of clients
- Support Firm service goals
- Maintain and organize client database
- Maintain and organize the team marketing calendar
- Streamline and forward BMO Nesbitt Burns Economic and Equity research to clients Manage time and personal development
- Contribute to team goals and strategic planning initiatives Shows commitment, initiative and self-reliance in managing personal and career development in a manner consistent with team direction
- Provide telemarketing and cold calling support to IA teams
- Support the goals of the team and branch
- Willingly embraces change and seeks opportunities created Ongoing focus on continuous improvement

- Work to implement good time management and priority setting skills to improve efficiency

Risk Management and Controls
- Ensure compliance regulations are adhered to
- Ensure proper adherence to all aspects of First Principles Our Code of Conduct and Ethics Follow security and safeguarding procedures and apply appropriate due diligence for the prevention of loss due to fraud, counterfeiting, money laundering or defalcation in accordance with Bank policy
Knowledge and Skills
- Basic/intermediate knowledge of investment process and procedures Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills including: MS Office, Windows based contact manager, website design.
- Candidate should have some knowledge of investment markets and a desire to work towards a career in investment management
- Computer literate
- Basic knowledge of the investment/security industry
- Prior customer service experience
- Ability to stay current and thrive in a changing environment
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and CPH would be an asset
