Assistant Manager

As a member of the Banana Republic field leadership team, the Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the GM and/ or Associate Manager in creating the conditions for success in all aspects of their store’s business, including sourcing and training all Brand Ambassadors; executing store strategy to deliver annual field priorities, and creating a compelling customer centric experience.  The Assistant Manager supports the GM and Associate Manager in sharing the vision for the store, communicating in a way that each employee is aware of their contribution to the store’s success. Additionally, the Associate Manager is responsible for leading a rotating Division of Responsibility (Product, Talent and Operations) while achieving key business goals.

Cashier Lead: This position requires working closely with supervisor. Cashier lead gives feedback to his/her managers while looking for the other cashiers. Before getting promoted to cashier lead position, candidates should complete the necessary training, which is cashier training program. On a daily basis, cashier leads should take care of the transaction processes, improve the customer satisfaction, answer the calls from the customers, follow the cash wrap protocols and train the cashier candidates.

Required skills for the cashier lead applicants are indicated as; good knowledge of computer, communication skills and handling of cash. Generally, applicants for this position need a high school or equivalent degree. Also, applicants may need to work during weekends, nights or rush hours. At first, applicants are offered minimum wage; however with experience and confidence, it can be increased up to $14.00/hr.

Store Associate: This position main objective is to increase sales and communicate with customers. Also, it can be expected that the store associates may need to provide maintenance at store, such as keeping order at fitting rooms, cleaning the floor, organizing the shelves, and giving support the cash wrap procedure. At this position, store associates can receive $15.00/hr.

Stock Associate: A store should be clean and well-organized. Stock associates are mostly responsible for the storage and store organization. Also, they need to identify the needs of the store and regulate the shipments. Another important thing is that stock associates should secure the store and prevent the theft.

Required skills for this position can be listed as; good communication, no physical handicap to prevent the lifting and carrying process, and keep up with the technology. Experience in retail may be beneficial to understand the how system works. Stock associates generally paid between $8.00 and $11.00 per hour.
