Brokerage Associate

Job Description

The Brokerage team is responsible for handling agent and policyholder inquiries related to Allstate expanded market personal lines and flood business. The team is primarily accountable for providing exceptional service to all Exclusive Agents and policyholders who contact Ivantage by promptly handling their service needs. The team also handles projects or other call-team initiatives as appropriate.

The Brokerage Associate provides day-to-day consultation and support to agency owners and customers who participate in Ivantage’s expanded market programs. Assists with projects to drive continuous process improvements of the Agency Care Team.

Key Responsibilities

Program Consulting & Service

  • Provides exceptional service to agency owners and policyholders related to Expanded Market programs
  • Demonstrates a reasonable level of understanding of most of Ivantage’s existing programs, products, and processes in order to confidently assist agents and customers with their inquiries.
  • Resolves issues of basic to moderate complexity using judgment, decision making, creative thinking and problem solving abilities.
  • Participates in calling campaigns to increase agent awareness regarding Ivantage programs
  • Quickly learns new programs and changes to existing programs
  • Provides exceptional service to agency owners and policyholders related to Expanded Market programs
  • Demonstrates an ability to influence others when action needs to be taken to address agent/policyholder issues. Liaises with other departments or resources to provide resolution.
  • Reconciles information from a variety of sources (both internal and external) to accommodate commissions and/or production requests and inquiries

Compliance Support

  • Uses prudent judgment in every day interactions to uphold Ivantage Anti-trust requirements (not sharing competitor information with Allstate), licensing requirements (decipher whether or not a licensed professional is required to handle an inquiry), and producer licensing and enrollment requirements

Job Qualifications

  • College Degree and/or prior experience preferred
  • Minimum of one year experience in customer service related field required
  • Prior experience in insurance, agency or brokerage experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Problem solving aptitude for handling issues real-time
  • Basic project management ability
  • Thrives in changes with an adaptable/nimble work style
