Entry level jobs are available for individuals who do not have much experience or education history. All employees must take 10-days-training in order to start working officially. After this training program, employees gain full access 60 online programs including videos and interactive games in order to learn about available jobs and growing within the company. Completing these programs may lead to promotion.
Positions and Wages
Advance America asks for high school diplomas or GED’s for most of the positions. Also applicants need to be at least 18 years old to apply. Some entry level positions are listed below:
Customer Service Representative: Customer service representatives are the faces of the company and their main responsibility is providing best customer service and being sure that every customer leaves with satisfaction. This position has part time and full time options with 9 to 10 dollars an hour payment. Other duties are completing transactions on accounts, keeping detailed and organized files of each customer case, practicing privacy policies, suggesting products, reporting on inventory, performing collections, answering phones, and maintaining office cleanliness. Applicants who are interested in this position need to have a valid drivers license, computer skills and to pass drug and background tests.
Assistant Manager: This position requires at least two years of work experience; managerial experience would be better. Also college credits, open availability, leadership and communication skills may provide more hiring consideration to the applicants. The main responsibility of assistant managers is administering the team and the store which includes reviewing operating results, controlling cash flow, balance and audits, hiring new employees, helping employees who are in the training programs, trying to reach sales goals, providing exceptional customer service, handling collections procedures, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of stores. This position is only available in full time and gets about 11 to 14 dollars for an hour.
