Positions and Wages

Sales Associate – Sales associates mainly focus on customer service and satisfaction. Associates recommend products, answer customers’ questions, restock merchandise and explain promotions. Floor Supervisor – Floor supervisors do basic managerial tasks to help assistant and stock managers. Supervisors are responsible of inventory levels, organization of the store, training and assisting the staff and reaching the sales goals. In addition, floor supervisors also work as sales associates by performing customer service. Interested applicants must have at least one year of retail related work experience and high school diplomas or GED’s. Floor supervisors usually earn 11 dollars an hour. They may earn promotion to assistant or store managers depending on experience and performance and may get paid 40,000 to 50,000 dollars annually.
Applicants must be ready to work in fast paced and crowded environments. Managers expect associates to reach sales goals; thus applicants must have sales skills. For entry level positions managers do not ask for any experience but applicants with experience may get more hiring consideration.
